As Chief Managing Partner of US Specialists Management (USSM), Dr. Matthew Spellman plays a key role in fostering collaboration between healthcare professionals and advancing physician-led healthcare initiatives. Dr. Spellman has served as the President of Urology of St. Louis for nearly two decades, and now as the urology practice has evolved into the surgical multispecialty group, Helios Specialty Healthcare, he serves as the CEO.

With extensive expertise in urologic oncology, robotic kidney and prostate surgery, and minimally invasive urology, he is dedicated towards advancing innovative approaches in urological care.

Dr. Spellman earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame before completing his Doctor of Medicine at the University of Iowa. He completed his surgical training with a residency in Urologic Surgery and an internship in General Surgery at the University of Nebraska Medical Center.

Board-certified by the American Board of Urology, Dr. Spellman has been consistently recognized for his contributions to the field earning Best Doctors awards from 2010 to 2021 and Castle Connolly Top Doctor awards from 2021 to 2024. His leadership at USSM focuses on building strong relationships with physicians, optimizing clinical operations, and leading initiatives that support the evolving needs of healthcare professionals.

Beyond his professional achievements, Dr. Spellman enjoys spending time with his wife and four children. He is an avid outdoorsman, skier and cyclist.
